Week 4
Lesson 4 we learnt a lot about the node edit feature. By bringing up the node editing mode we can find by right click the context menue. In the edit sub-menue we can see many features to work areound. So we can select all nodes and copy it to the clipboard. When we paste it back into another vector form for example, we have to press the CTRL+Page up and the CTRL+Home keys to bring it back to the right place.

When we delete a node, we break the path. Join select will close an open path if two end or start nodes are selected. If we have more than one path in an object, we can join any two end/start nodes to combine the paths. Merge will remove a selected node without breaking the path.

Close will close an open path if any node on it is selected.

Pasting nodes can create multiple path objects. If there are more than one path and we will select reverse contur only the path of the selected node will turn into the other direction. If we have a vector object with just one path in it, we have to select the reverse path tool for to change the direction.

We also can create multiple path objects with the Drawing Mode. You can find it on first position of the right click "Edit submenue". If activated you can add nodes to any place on the canvas by just clicking.

Vector Logos. This week we learnt about how to make a vector logo. Here is my graphic:

Here I played around with some filters for the logo graphic, so had to save it as jpg

This is another cutout by playing with forms and using the change of the path direction.

After creating the logo we had to play again with toons. Well that#s lots of fun. I found out some details. If you create a vector form you can right click and you can choose Export shape. So you can use it the next time again. It is similar to the tub tool in PSP it seems so. Well you can name the shape but will not have this name after this in the folder where you saved it.

But if you name it before in the layer palette and give the same name to it in the window which opens after you select export form, then it is in your form folder with just this name...as far as I understood lol

I think it still needs lots of practicing. It's not  difficult to create such penguins with the excellent instructions of our great teachers in this class :)).
