This week we should try to look at pages, which give us a so called Wow effect :)
I saw so many but now my favorite folder is so fullstuffed that it is hard to go back. I like to look at flash pages but I often get also a Wow feeling just by eye catching elegant pages...

Well we had to take a look at the following pages:

The Centruy in Shoes
this was a great site. I liked the videos and the slide shows, but first I had to install the Quicktime player. Lol now I have some sound problems. The talk about the needed plugins was a good tip for the user. Also the navigation was good.

The Will-Harris Design
He had Flash on every page. I couldnt understand how he did it. This webpage is easy to navigate. But somehow I got lost by the many possibilities of fonts and was searching around for free fonts lol...I always get lost on pages with huge content. But the layout is really great. I know I always get the wow effect if there is something on pages, which I cannot understand how it is done :)

PBS/Frank Lloyd Wright
This one gave me the best Wow effect. I liked the mouse over effects. The clear lines and the wonderful colors, which my eyes liked so much. I also liked the fonts he used. the more I looked at this page the more I didn't like mine anymore lol, so I shut down after a while again.

This week I worked on my applet section. I had a lot to do with the links and still have troubles with the sound in my applet pages. I have a script which is working for IE and Opera and one which is working  for IE and Netscape. So have to look around for another solution. I also once saw a page that you could turn on or out the sound, but I lost the link.

I also added my personal/friends section, which was not hard ,as I didn't want to add too much of my old stuff anymore. Before I had many saved links to other applet pages, which talk about friendship, but the links often had changed and didn't work anymore and I don't like to look for dead links all the time.

I think my pages are too static, otherhand I have lots of applets pages as also lots of script pages with movements in it, so I thought it might be better to add less movement to the description and index pages...well maybe I have to work on a idea for a flash, but as Farron told, better stay with simple html than to over clutter. Also I might go back and try to compress some images I used in my applet pages, as I didnt know anything about this topic at the time when the pages were created. So some images are not compressed. Sure would like to have more time :).

For my own pages I will think once more about my navigation. I don't like the houses lol...Well now have to run to look at the pages of my classmates.
